Brokers Banned For Life

Published / Last Updated on 29/03/2003

Former Directors of Aberdeen based broker Barum House Securities, Barry Scott and Lata Gaur have been banned for life by the UK regulator, the Financial Services Authority, from working in the UK financial services industry.

It is alleged that they used client monies to pay off personal overdrafts and purchase shares in their own company.

According to the regulator, losses made by people will be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
