Boost For Receivers Of Care

Published / Last Updated on 08/01/2003

The Government has announced that they will be contributing £10 per week more towards the care of those people living in a nursing home.  The increase will take effect from April this year.  The contribution made by the Government towards the cost of care is based on an assessment of the person's needs and there are three rates of weekly contribution.  The first two levels will increase by £5 from April and the third level will increase by £10.  To learn more about care in older age and what you would have to pay for care visit the Care Fees Adviser.com.
