Bonuses For Men Double Women.

A report by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) has suggested that bonuses paid to men on average are still double that of women.

There figures show that the average female manager's bonus in the UK was £3,029 compared to a male manager's average bonus of £6,442.   More than 50%.

Headline grabbing figures.  The facts remain that there will always be some inequality as mainly women take career breaks for children so tend to be lower down the career scale hence pay and bonuses being lower.

There is still inequality too for state pensions, where women live longer, retire earlier for some and get just as much.  The question of equality will always be a tough one.  We are sure that where a man and woman are doing exactly the same job, same hours, same pay, then the law prevails that they get paid the same salary and bonus.  This is matter of demographics that men get paid more on average
