In the last 6 months, people are starting to save more, & borrow less. Figures from the financial adviser lobbyists IFA Promotion has shown that 83p was borrowed against every pound spent, while in the previous quarter, only 70p was borrowed.
Our view
Well, strictly speaking we are borrowing less and spending more of our savings. So much for fears about overspending!
