A survey conducted by Market Minder asked a sample of 2000 adults how media coverage of pension issues affected their actions and 93% of them said that the pension crisis had no affect when reviewing their retirement savings.
60% were unaware of the annuity open market option.
20% of those questioned said that they would consider other ways to save for their retirement rather than in a pension and many said that they would avoid links to the stockmarket.
