6 Million Tax Bills Wrong

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has suggested that many company payroll systems are inaccurate due to incorrect tax code use or people who change jobs through the year.
HMRC has estimated that £2bn is due in overdue tax and £1.8bn is due back in overpaid tax and refunds.
Our view: What a waste of money – we bet it costs the country, employers and employers more than the £200,000 in wasted administration time.
