A warning has been issued by an IT company, Radware, that over 500 computer viruses a month are now plaguing small businesses. The losses are now becoming collossal given that many small companies do not take virus software protection seriously.
Our view
The systems at recieve around 10 to 15 emails a day with viruses attaching as well as over 300 spam emails a day. It is only because we have three security layers of virus software protection as well as a number of firewalls and anti-spam software in place that our systems remain live.
Our advice to anybody, even if you do not run a business, but just use the Internet for pleasure is to ensure that you have a good virus software package and that you update everyday.
Also, never open emails that you are not sure about and never believe any email that says that it has a virus fix - if you click on the link you get a virus!
