The Association of British Insurers and the Association of Independent Financial Advisers have published a revised version of their factsheet on contracting out of the state pension. The factsheet is called 'Pensions and Contracting Out: Important Information' and was first issued in October 2004.
It has been updated to include revised figures and has been given a new front cover. Members of the Association of British Insurers will start sending the factsheet out in the near future to all their contracted-out customers. It suggests that customers should review their decision such as a customers preference for state verses private provision. The association believe that the new factsheet sets out the pros and cons in a straightforward, consumer friendly style.
