Working Abroad Boosts Salary

According to research by NatWest International Personal Banking, British expats opting to work abroad earn £67,000 compared with a UK average of £47,000.  Expats could see a 43 per cent increase on their current salary if they relocate abroad.  The survey revealed that 90 per cent of expats consider themselves to be better off in financial terms as a result of living abroad.

The United Arab Emirates has the highest wealth ranking, with expats earning £79,000 a year on average.  More than 90 per cent of respondents in Spain, New Zealand and Norway say living costs are lower than in the UK.
