Women Underinsured

Scottish Provident have released figures that claim that women are significantly underinsured when compared to men.

They say that the average sum insured for a man taking out critical illness cover is £69,983 whereas for a woman it is £57,546.

These figures show that despite men taking higher levels of cover, it is women who are more likely to claim earlier on critical illness plans for things like cancer.
