Research by Yorkshire Bank has found that more than 33% of households have acquired a widescreen TV in the last few years and only 16% have looked at their mortgage and considered re-mortgaging on to better terms.

We do not think we have to say much here. It is your money so you can spend it on whatever electrical item you prefer - but perhaps re-mortgage savings could have already paid for that new item or the one you are about to buy. Take a financial review at least once a year.
