We Are Working Longer Hours

Published / Last Updated on 18/06/2007

A recent survey by YouGov has revealed that the normal working hours of 9 to 5 are becoming a thing of the past.

Its survey shows that nearly 8million people regularly start work before 8am in the morning, 7.6million work after 7pm at night and 7.4million work regularly on a Saturday. Not only do we do all these hours in the week, nearly 3 million people take work home most days and an additional 2.5million people take work home once or twice a week.

Our view

From a society point of view, we all want better cars, better homes, more exotic holidays and we all are forced to pay too much in taxes under a Labour Government. This is why we have to work harder.
