Vodafone to Create New Jobs.

New announcements have been made by mobile phone company Vodafone about its plans for 2014, with new jobs being created across the UK when it opens 150 new stores. The first areas to open new stores are Fulham, Wembley and London’s Notting Hill.

The new investment is planned to create 1,400 jobs and provide a boost to 2G, 3G and 4G services to 98% of the UK. The investment is predicted to reach £1bn in 2014.

Vodafone is the third biggest mobile phone company in the UK falling behind EE and O2.

Last year Vodafone made one of the biggest corporate deals in history by selling its 45% stake in Verizon Wireless to Verizon Communications. The £84bn deal allowed Vodafone to pay shareholders, invest in the company and provide funds for high speed phone networks.
