UK Unemployment 2.5 Million.
Figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) have shown that the number of people unemployed in the UK has risen by 80,000 to 2.51 million in the 3 months to July. The jobless rate now stands at 7.9%.
Youth unemployment has also risen dramatically by 78,000 to 973,000 and the total claiming Jobseeker’s allowance rose in August by 20,300 to 1.58 million.
