UK Trade Deficit Down.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show the UK's trade deficit in goods and services for March was down to £2.7bn, compared to £2.9bn in February.  

The deficit on seasonally adjusted trade in goods was £8.6bn in March, unchanged on February.  According to the ONS, the surplus on trade in services was estimated at £5.8bn in March compared with a £5.6bn surplus the month before.

The figures revealed the impact of slowing tade with the eurozone.  The breakdown of the figures suggests that the eurozone crisis is taking its toll, according to Vicky Redwood, economist at Capital Economics.
