Trust Changes: Inheritance Tax: Tax Planning Special

People have just three months to consider their options and to change their inheritance tax provisions, following changes introduced in the 2006 Budget.

The changes were to the inheritance tax treatment of gifts to certain trusts.  The two main types of trust affected were Interest in Possession Trusts and Accumulation and Maintenance Trusts.  The two year transitional period which was created expires on 5 April 2008.
