
Third of Investors not given Commission Disclosure Documents.
Following interviews with more than 5,000 people it has come to light that nearly 33 per cent of clients investing in products did not receive key features document (KFD).
The Financial Services Authority assigned research to be carried out and the results reveal that clients that were given a KFD, 31 per cent completed reading them all the way through, whilst the remaining clients read only parts of the KFD, or did not take much notice of the content.
The clients who remembered receiving and clients who were given a KFD explained that it assisted them in coming to a product decision. Also, 89 per cent thought that the KFD was simple to comprehend.
