According to a quarterly survey from the NatWest, tax burdens are causing the most problems in small businesses. The survey found that while government regulation had been the biggest problem for small businesses over the last 18 months, the tax burden was now the second highest problem.
The respondents to the survey seemed more positive about the economic climate of the country, which came in at 5th place compared to 1st place in 2003. NatWest believe that with an improved economic outlook, and optimism about sales and employment, the future looks bright for the UK's small business community.
