Street Name Dispute Delays Mortgages.

Mortgage difficulties in West Yorkshire are being caused buy an unusual problem.

A row between the council and builders over what to call streets is causing disruption for mortgage applicants and lenders.

In Steeton home buyers purchasing new homes from Redrow Homes who built 209 homes in the village have hit a stumbling block as the firm wanted to name streets after French towns but the decision has been opposed by local councillors who prefer local areas for the street names.

Our View

This is an utter joke.

Councillors and the builders could sort this out in 30 minutes if they actually sat around a table and did not involve lawyers.  Pull your fingers out people, this is what is killing Britain.
