Our View
The cost of raising a child overall is estimated at over £150,000 overall and these results regarding putting a child through State school are not suprising. At £1,614pa, this is perhaps what we would all expect, uniforms, travel, lunches, study materials and school trip costs at just over £130pm, or £179pm for actual school terms, will not suprise most. The family allowance benefit no doubt subsidises these costs for most.
