Standard Life Holds Bonuses

Standard Life has announced that it intends to freeze With Profits bonuses at last year’s rates for policyholders.
Based on the stockmarket growth, it said that Market Value Reduction penalties would be reduced for policyholders. Interestingly, the reductions only apply to pensions (7% down to 4%) and not to investments, which remain at 7%.
Standard Life commented that whilst stockmarkets had recovered, they still have a long way to go.
