A campaign to simplify the administration of Stamp Duty is gaining momentum, as the Law Society continues to lobby the Government to change the tax collection system. More than 4,000 solicitors have backed the campaign, which is calling for changes to the administration of Stamp Duty to make it simple, certain and fair. It comes after Revenue and Customs (R&C) replaced a one page form with a six page form, which the Law Society claims has resulted in delays, extra costs, and confusion for solicitors and their clients.
