Service Sector Staff Increase.

The CBI has released a publication that polled 151 businesses have found that business and consumer confidence in the economy is increasingly positive.

Businesses are taking on new employees at the highest rate since 1998. However, taking on more people is not always the best bet, most firms were finding it increasingly difficult to find employees with the right skills.

The survey also found that companies were now willing to spend more on training for new employees.

Consumer businesses such as hotels, bars, travel and leisure firms were seeing a comfortable rise in business growth. The sector also plans to spend more on IT over the next 12 months.

The business and professional sector saw business levels rise at the fastest level since 2006.
