Self_Build Property Cheaper

Self-build property is cheaper according to Propertyfinder.

The average home-buyer can save £55,000 by having a three-bed self-build property, compared with buying a new build from developers.  Propertyfinder say that buying a home in England costs about £267,600 whereas the cost of land, materials and labour for a self-build property would total £212,850, a saving of more than 22 per cent.  

The cost of self-build property ranges from £152,644 in East Midlands to £295,054 for self-build property in London.  

Our view

Choosing the right area and land plot for a self-build property is crucial.  Finding a prime spot for a self-build property in London does mean that it will be an economic self-build property project as labour is expensive.  We suggest you research the self-build property fully before committing to something you may have never done before.
