A new website from Scottish Widows has been launched that provides information to help customers understand their pension choices on retirement after April 2015.

The website was designed to give customers jargon free and clear information about all the changes that were announced in this years budget. The website is based on case studies which will take the user through their options and clearly explain what it means if they took the pension as a lump sum or annuitized.

Included is an interactive calculator and other tools which will help those using it to see how taking some or all of their pension would change their retirement income.

Customers who are not Scottish Widows customers are also able to visit the website, however, the user will be guided to Unbiased.co.uk and also to the official pension guidance website. There will also be links to the new Guaranteed Guidance when it launches.
