Following the demutualisation of Scottish Life a few years ago, there are still around 15,000 members (policyholders) who have not claimed the compensation that they are due, around £500.
The former Scottish Life are urging people to contact them as the deadline for payouts 1 July 2007, is fast approaching. Once this date has passed there will not be any further compensation payments made.
Our view
The amount of unclaimed compensation awards is around £7.5million and it is a case or claim it or lose it. We strongly urge you all to talk to family, friends colleagues to ask them if they have or had a Scottish Life policy.
