Scottish Legal Life Closes Doors

Published / Last Updated on 27/05/2002

The friendly society, Scottish Legal Life, has taken the decision to close its doors to new business.

The company based in Glasgow closed its new business books on the 23rd May 2002 after agreeing that the cost of new business was too high, meaning lower returns for policyholders.

Just under 40 staff in the company's sales department will lose their jobs.
