Scottish House Prices Buck Trend
Housebuyers in Scotland are still bucking the trend of falling prices with the market being stronger north of the border than anywhere else in Britain. In the last year, Scottish house prices rose 0.6 per cent while the rest of the UK saw a 6.3 per cent fall as a direct result of the credit crunch.
However the good news comes despite a 1.5 per cent drop in the last quarter, with economists insisting that even though Scottish homes are not immune to the downward trend prices could stabilise at a zero-growth rate.
