Rogue Claims Firms Shut Down.

The Ministry of Justice has dramatically cut the number of authorised claims management firms over the last few years.

In the last year alone, over 200 claims firms has been de-authorised in many cases due to persistent poor claims management practice, cold calling, span text messages and making false claims.

Since 2007, over 1,000 claims management firms have been de-authorised and numbers are stabilising at around 2,000 claims management firms.

For too long, we have all had our lives blighted by text message after text message suggesting we are owed money.

We suggest, the MOJ should move even further with advanced qualifications required depending upon the sector that a claims firm operate in.

We also suggest that claims firms should have an independent financial ombudsman service established so that if you have a grievance against a claims firms, whether you are a business or an individual, you have recourse for complaint and compensation if the claims firm has been causing a nuisance or indeed has been making frivolous and vexatious complaints against your firm, wasting valuable time and money.
