The Investment Managers Association (IMA) has said that there is the real possibility of ISA funds being able to invest directly in property.
They said that the Inland Revenue was currently exploring this opportunity.
Our View
Exciting news if possible. However, we supsect that there would be too many strings attached such as investment only being allowed in newer style property trusts i.e. the Government's proposed new investment rules that may permit investment funds to develop "low cost housing".
We are not so sure of the growth and income opportunities if this were the case.
