Co-operative Insurance Services have found that forty seven per cent of the population don't have in place any sort of protection insurance. They have said that the protection gap now stands at around £2.3 trillion, and they recommend that there should be a minimum of £75,000 for each dependent.
They believe that more people need to take a more responsible attitude to financially protecting their family, pointing out that one in three people will be diagnosed with cancer at some stage.
