Research from MINT has predicted that the average house price will rise by 100% in the next 20 years, from £163,334 in 2005,to £335,674 in 2025. The report also showed that the trend toward delayed first marriages and rising divorce rates, which has increased growth of single person households, will continue over the next two decades.
Single occupancy is at present 30%, but by 2021, 35% of the population is expected to be living alone.
Our view
Land and property is the one thing that is not increasing on this small island of the UK. It seems logical that we will see a steady increase in property over the next 20 years.
