Problems With Building Property In Spain

According to an investigation by the BBC, many British expatriates could find that their homes in Spain will need to be demolished, as they have not been built to the correct legislation.

Some homes have been built on ‘rural’ land, rather than the required ‘urban’. Others have been granted permission to build potentially illegally by local mayors, who now face criminal charges themselves.
