Pensions watchdog, The Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority (OPRA), has announced that it has assisted over 93% of people searching for lost pensions. Quite simply, OPRA has a registry of over 200,000 company pension schemes to help people track down their old pension funds.
The Unclaimed Assets Register estimates that over £3bn of un-claimed pension money is lying dormant waiting to be claimed. In addition, there is a further £12bn lying in un-claimed life insurance funds and investments.
