Pension Credit Helps 1.8m

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has released figures that around 1.8m households in the UK have benefitted from the Pension Credit after it replaced the Minimum income guarantee in October last year.

In its report, the DWP say that an extra 270,000 households claimed the new top up benefit compared to the old style MIG
