Research from Skandia, has revealed that only one of the top performing 50 funds five years ago, is in the top 250 performing funds today. Of the top 50 funds in the year 2000, Fidelity European fund is the only one left in the top 250 UK Authorised Funds.
The top ten funds in 2000 were mainly dominated by US and technology funds, which included Fidelity American, Fidelity American Special Situations, Henderson Global Technology, Aegon Technology Tactical and Threadneedle American Select.

As ever, past performance is not a guide to future performance. Fund managers change, the economy changes and your luck, if you have just been a 'lucky' fund manager can change.
