An attitude of 'live for today' is prevailent with the younger band. Only 6% of 18 to 34 year olds believe their top financial priority is to start a pension. 30% believed it was buying a property, 29%, clearing a debt , while 23% starting a new job was their goal.
Most said that they were too young to worry about pensions or debt, yet over half hope to retire by the age of 59!
