Part of AXA sold to Resolution

Resolution has announced the acquisition of AXA UK’s life assurance business (protection, corporate benefits and annuities) for around £2.75bn.

Resolution already owns Friends Provident and this business added to that from AXA will produce a group focusing on profitable new business able to benefit from cost savings between the two firms and offer high levels of service.
