Government proposals to evict nuisance neighbours from their properties have been criticized by the finance industry, with warnings that they could have a bad effect on the buy-to-let property market.
In a recent speech, Prime Minister, Tony Blair outlined plans to give police powers to evict owners or tenants that cause a 'significant, persistent and serious nuisance' and re-house them in special council properties for a period of three months. These measures would apply equally to outright owners, people with mortgages, those in privately rented accommodation and council tenants.
It is believed that landlords could be affected by measures if tenants were evicted, through loss of rent and the cost of finding new tenants.

The Goverment are right to clamp down on nuisances!
