No FSA Mystery Shoppers BBC Find.

Following a freedom of information request, the BBC has found that the Financial Services Authority (FSA) has not used mystery shoppers to protect consumers since March 2010.

At that time, the FSA chief executive Hector Sants, had announced they would make more use of mystery shoppers.

According to Sarah Brooks, director of financial services at Consumer Focus, it is a bit startling that the FCA hasn’t placed more emphasis on mystery shopping, which can be a useful tool in identifying consumer detriment.
