A Lloyds of London Syndicate (not to be confused with Lloyds TSB) has launched a novel insurance policy to protect the value of your home should it suffer as a result of its changing environment such as noisy neighbours, 'motorways through your back garden', mobile telephone mast erection etc.
Our view:
Great idea - but we suggest only really suitable for those who have properties valued at larger sums. If you own a smaller property your risk of loss is somewhat smaller. Great marketing idea though. It just proves that Lloyds can insure pretty much anything. Did you know that Lloyds of London once insured a satellite in Space that went out of control and it was cheaper for them to pay for a Space mission to fix the satellite rather than let it drift off into Space?
