National Mutual To Be No More

Published / Last Updated on 27/02/2002

GE Capital, the company that bought National Mutual in July last year, have announced that the National Mutual name is to go from April this year.

GE Capital, who purchased National Mutual for £500m, apparently surveyed the adviser market for financial strength brand awareness.  The results proved that the GE Capital name was ranked higher than National Mutual.

GE Capital intend to move forward using the old National Mutual products to create a company based on the advice driven market for over 50's.  The company also intends to introduce new products, such as long term care and run them alongside their existing offerings.
