National Living Wage
A minimum rate of £7.20 per hour starts today for all those over the age of 25.
This is a 50p per hour rise from the National Minimum Wage of £6.70ph. For those who work 40 hours a week, that a £20 per week payrise and a £1,040 annual payrise (7.4%).
