Minimum Wage On The Up

In addition to the new Disability Discrimination Act measures that come into effect in October this year, employers also need to be aware that the National Minimum Wage is also on the up.

New legislation is also coming for employees that are paid on the number of items they process.  The new rules mean that employers must choose either the minimum wage or a fair rate for the number of items processed.

Our View

Legislation in the workplace is rife at the moment.  Whilst employees do need to be protected, spare a thought for your employer, sinking under the masses of legislative paperwork!
