Majority May Rent For Life
A survey by Halifax has revealed that even though 77% of non-homeowners would still like to own their own home, around 64% of 20-45 year olds surveyed believe they will never get on the housing ladder, due to the tougher lending criteria and firmer regulation.
Just 5% of the group surveyed admitted they are making sacrifices to save for a deposit, while 95% stated they have no cash, have no interest in saving for a deposit or were trying to save but were not succeeding in doing so.
