Madoff Gets Life
Bernard Madoff, the Ponzi Scheme fraudster will spend the rest of his life in jail, for his part in the $50bn investment scam.
His lawyers had requested a shorter sentence given his age but the US Judge said that the sentence should reflect the seriousness of the crime and imposed the maximum sentence for each of the 11 charges.
In short, over 150 years in jail i.e. Madoff will be in jail for the rest of his life.
