Lloyds TSB has allegedly warned staff that a further 1,000 jobs could go in the UK and be moved to India as it bids to cut costs. They have already announced 1,500 jobs will be going to India and this follows on the back of many other high profile UK businesses moving services to cheaper centres in India.

A difficult call. If we said to you you can have your bank account charges for £5 per month (if it is looked after by staff in India) or a bank account with charges of £20 per month with UK help staff - which would you choose?
We suggest the cheaper. However, we believe that there are many who will still wish to deal with UK businesses and UK personnel. This is why has remained firmly in the UK as we believe in service and not always profits.
