Lloyds Closing All C&G Branches
Lloyds Banking Group is to close all branches of Cheltenham & Gloucester (C&G). This are just under 170 C&G branches across the UK.
Lloyds plans to still keep the C&G Brand for mortgage contracts but the plans now risk a further 1,500 jobs in addition to the 3,000 jobs lost after the Lloyds and HBOS (Halifax Bank of Scotland) merger to form the Lloyds Banking Group.
