Landlord Property Inspections

Landlord Property Inspections

Landlord property inspections in light of the horror stories reported to the National Landlords Association’s (NLA) advice line.  Landlords have been urged to inspect their properties regularly.

One landlord awaiting a court order to evict anti-social tenants returned to the property to find they had left of their own accord but had taken the central heating unit and double glazing with them.

The NLA says its advice line received a record 31,000 calls in 2007, the most common queries related to removing troublesome tenants, tenancy deposit protection issues and problems with housing benefit.

Our view

There is a crucial need for landlords to look after what is theirs.  People do not look after other peoples property as well as their own and this is the same for tenants.
