The Government has confirmed that it plans to replace the Child Trust Fund with the child equivalent of an ISA, the Junior ISA.
The Junior ISA will have similar tax efficient benefits to adult ISAs and with annual savings limits but as yet details are unknown.
However, government contributions to Junior ISAa will not be paid to new borns saving billions of pounds.
